Lisa was born the youngest child in an Airforce family at Fairchild
AFB. Lisa earned an AAS in Natural Resource Management and
worked for the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service in
several counties in eastern Washington. She moved around a lot
growing up and had one dream – to move to a small town.
Lisa fell in love with the Harbor when her husband brought her to
visit his home town in 2001. Soon after they started looking for
their dream home in rural Grays Harbor. Purchasing their small
acreage north of Hoquiam fulfilled Lisa’s lifelong dream to raise
her family in a small rural community and she quickly went to
work to make the Harbor her home.
Lisa is the mother of two boys and has been very active with her
local school district. In addition to volunteering in the classrooms she served as Vice President and President of the Hoquiam Elementary Parent Teachers Organization for several years. Lisa has also been active helping with her boy’s other activities including helping with their Cub Scout Troop, coaching soccer and even volunteering to serve as cook for the Grange Summer Camp.
Lisa was elected Secretary of the Grays Harbor Republican Party in 2016 and has also served as Vice Chair and has been elected Chair for two terms. During her time as Chair Lisa has been elected twice to represent the 6th Congressional District on the Executive Board of the Washington State Republican Party. Her experience volunteering with the Republican Party has cemented the conservative philosophy with which she was raised.
Lisa wanted to serve the community to the best of her ability so she returned to her training and was appointed by the Washington Conservation Commission to serve as a Supervisor on the Grays Harbor Conservation District Board in 2019.
Lisa is a do-er. When she sees something needs to be done she is always willing to roll up her sleeves and put in the hard work to get the job done. Lisa wants to join the other two conservative commissioners to help move Grays Harbor forward.
